Ronald Shelley's jalopy car paintings are the topic of conversation in the magazine Car Kulture Deluxe, August 2017. His work "Starting Lineup" is the featured selection for the publication's popular pull out poster. "Head On, The Art of Ronald Shelley" includes eight of his jalopy paintings. Reproductions and prints of these and other jalopies are available for purchase at two online galleries, Fine Art America and Pixels.
"There is something organic about the way jalopy cars and racing evolved into a form of folk art. It was inexpensive to do. Get a car from the junkyard, remove the windows, strip out all the unnecessary weight, tinker with the engine, and have a go," said Ronald.
